I have packets for 3 children who are in need of sponsors from Bendicion de Dios Student Center in Villa Verde, Honduras.
Most of you probably remember that I spent a week with a mission team in Villa Verde last summer. I have photos of the community and center that I took while we visited our child at HO133. I also delivered gifts to 8 children sponsored by friends and OC members! It was a great blessing to me, the children, and their sponsors.
The HO133 community has grown a lot since then. We have a group on Facebook. We would love to have more of you join the HO133 family!

In May, our team will be returning once again to work with Iglesia Bautista Monte de Sion in Villa Verde. We will visit with our sponsored children from HO133 while on this trip. If you choose to sponsor one of these three children, I will make every effort to schedule a visit with your child to take photos and deliver a special gift from you.
Sponsorship through Compassion costs $38 per month, a commitment to praying for your child, and a commitment to encouraging your child through correspondence.
This is Lazaro Humberto Mejia:

He is 15 years old and has less than two years left in Compassion's program. This short term sponsorship would be a great encouragement for this handsome boy. We met him last July--and he had a little crush on our sponsored daughter, Luz Maria, who is also 15! I have a few extra photos of him. His birthday is July 6, 1998.His bio is: Lazaro makes his home with his stepfather and his mother. Gathering firewood, running errands and cleaning are his household duties. His stepfather is sometimes employed as a laborer and his mother maintains the home. There are 4 children in the family.
As part of Compassion's ministry, Lazaro participates in church activities and Bible class. He is also in middle school where his performance is average. Soccer, bicycling and reading are his
favorite activities.
