About Me...

My name is Kimberly Hall.

I am a 31-year old wife to a wonderful husband and mom to three wonderful children...my little larks. I like to play the guitar badly, travel, and write.

My husband is Jonathan Hall. Jonathan is a phone technician for AT & T as well as an ordained Pastor. I am very blessed to have not only a Godly man for my husband but also a walking Bible concordance and theological dictionary. If I need to know where a verse is in the New Testament, all I have to do is ask my husband. And if I happen to wonder about the major worldviews, I am also in luck. Jonathan enjoys talking, talking, reading, talking, and arguing about college football. Did I mention talking?
























Leah is my spunky, freckle-faced 7 year old. She loves dancing, singing, writing letters, drawing pictures, and picking on her siblings. She is my future biologist; no animal is above her scrutiny!

Benjamin is 5. He is a man of few words. His chief enjoyment in life is discovering the inner mechanics and workings of lights and ceiling fans.

And for the baby...Lori...who was born into this world knowing exactly what she wants. At 4, she is remarkably expressive. A princess at heart, she enjoys dressing up. Lori is my clutterbug. No one can make a mess like Lori.

I am a teacher by profession. I currently teach high school at H.O.P.E. Academy and am blessed by the greatest students in the world. I am also honored to work with a group of godly women who love me and support me. I love going to work every day!

My heart beats for the Lord. I became a Christian on July 28, 1998. After a childhood filled with exposure to drug abuse, mental institutions, prisons, and runaways, I wanted a different life. I just didn't know how to make that happen. I thank God that He reached down in His grace and saved me from sin and self. He has made a life for me that is far beyond my imagination!

For a long time, our family lived for the status quo. We accumulated a pile of debt. I am thankful that the Lord intervened through the ministry of Compassion International, an organization that seeks to "release children from poverty in Jesus' name." Our lives and priorities have been radically changed as we learned to invest our lives in the things that God values.

The book of Matthew reminds us to "Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust don't corrupt and thieves do not break in and steal." We asked ourselves what kind of treasure lasts forever? What can we work for on this earth that will ultimately last forever? What does God value?

The answer, of course, is people. People last forever. So if my life isn't poured out serving others, discipling others, and teaching others their worth and value in God's Kingdom, then my life has been wasted.

We currently sponsor, support, and/or correspond with around 30 kids from some of the poorest places in the world, some of whom we have had the pure joy of holding in our arms and not only our hearts. We work hard to find sponsors for other children, work hard to see that the needs of the poor are met in whatever way we can.

But our ministry is two-fold. We also seek to disciple others in America who are very much like us and help them free themselves from the lie that wealth and commercialism satisfy.

Only the Lord satisfies. He gives us a two-step approach to happiness, remember? He boils it all down to...
