Kim's Compassion: Encouraging Spiritual Growth

Sunday is a good day for us to share some of the things we do to help our sponsored children grow spiritually.

Compassion believes (and Scripture teaches) that the deepest need is spiritual. What do you guys do to encourage your children to trust God and live for Him?

Here is a great link with simple devotions that you can cut and paste for your letters. There are some great topics listed that you can definitely build on in your letters:

Check this out! A friend recommended this site. You can print the "Good News Coloring Book" in almost any language. Super cool!

I have found this great app to help with organizing my prayer life. With Prayer Notebook, I have been able to load the 31 days of prayer for my Compassion children into the app and get a reminder each day to pray. One of our biggest ministries for our sponsored children is prayer!

I found an awesome link that allows you to share the gospel with your child using a favorite sport--SOCCER! The craft is available to print in both Spanish and English. Also check out the  second link that will take you to a site that has great, FREE printable devotionals for each day of the year--designed specifically for kids and tweens! ENJOY!

I hope to continue adding to this post. Check back for more!

  2. These are going to be so helpful, thanks! Do you happen to know of any (Haitian Creole would be best but I doubt there are many resources in that) French resources?

    1. The Good News Coloring Book should be available in Creole! A lot of the people we minister to in the Dominican Republic are Haitian, so I am always on the lookout for materials in Creole! I will let you know when I come across some :)
