HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis run rampant.
Into this darkness, a light is shining. The Morning Star Child Development Center, funded through Compassion International and run by the local church, is providing hope for the children of commercial sex workers. Children receive food, education, medical care, and support to ensure that their futures are bright.
Compassion sponsors are part of the light. Through letters of encouragement, the children who are considered outcasts by their society are accepted and loved by their sponsors.
